After waiting years to play Mount and Blade Bannerlord on console I am disappointed. While the game is visually appealing the performance is not up to par. If you are familiar with the Mount and Blade Franchise you would know that the massive battles is what truly makes this game great.
Bannerlord has been out on PC for two and half years at the time of writing this, but it just came to console on October 25, 2022. The secret about couching your lance has been out on PC since launch.

With news of Bannerlord console port and the release of 1.8 beta, controller support is on point for map campaign, they added dpad accesibility and a new map pointer that makes moving across the map perfect. 100% recommend playing with a controller, this coming from someone with 300+ hours of warband pc.
